What is the right Turkey Cooking Time?
The turkey cooking time depends if the turkey is stuffed or unstuffed and how many pounds the turkey weighs.
This turkey cooking time chart is for a preheated oven at 325 degrees F.
The best way to to determine if a turkey is cooked and done through, is by measuring the internal temperature with a cooking thermometer. The thermometer should be inserted into the thickest part of a thigh and not touching a bone.
The turkey is safe and done when the internal thermometer reads 165 degrees F.
Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in the US, where nearly everyone cooks a traditional turkey, this cooking time chart might help modern survival
By the way, check your packaging, some turkey packages will indicate a recommended cooking time. Times will always vary a bit from one recommendation to the next.
